Portmeirion-The Tower

$1,692.00

Portmeirion, North Wales

Portmeirion is a tiny Italianate village built in 1926 by architect Clough Williams-Ellis and comes complete with hotel, restaurant, and town hall. He called it his “light opera approach to architecture” and the result is pretty though distinctly un-Welsh. The tower is the tallest piece of architecture in the village. You can climb over 100 stairs to the top and see out over the village, bay and countryside. This painting is just part of a mini-series depicting the village.
